I haven’t worn this leopard print faux fur coat in awhile. I think I’m still deciding if I like it or not. However, I put it on this weekend because I wanted to add a little spice to an all black outfit that I wore to an event.
I wore a pair of my favorite black trouser pants that was gifted to me from Sejour. They are straight leg trousers that hit at the waist to keep my little hero from looking like a muffin top. I’ve put on a little weight so they are a little more fitted (tight) than when I first got them. Nevertheless, they still fit. I was in an all black mood this weekend due to the stresses of my life. I now understand why celebs wear shades indoors. I was not in the mood for eye contact with anyone and kept my shades on. After a few minutes, I felt kind of silly with shades on inside. I wanted to get out of my funky mood and thought that wearing bright red would make me feel better, so I’m wearing my red suede shoes again and my red belt with a heart shape buckle.

It was somewhat of a nice weather weekend because there was no snow and the temperature wasn’t freezing below.
Hope you guys had a great weekend.

I’m the kind of shopper who utilizes the wishlist on websites. I like to save my favorite items just in case I come into some extra cash. A few weeks ago, I was the crazy online shopper due to coming into some extra cash. I’m wearing 3 of the items that I had on my wishlist. One of the items on my wishlist was this leopard print faux fur from Torrid. I’ll admit, i didn’t like how it looked online, but, I ordered it anyway because I figured it would probably look different in person. When I opened the box, I was taken back a little bit because I thought the coat was too loud, but, after staring at it for a few days it started to grow on me. I love how sassy and over the top it looks with my skinny jeans. It’s definitely a coat I would wear when I want to standout from the crowd.

The second piece I bought was this crimson red lace trim dress from ASOS.  I had been coveting this dress for sometime now waiting for it to go on sale. It never did. So, I decided to just get it. I debuted it at the Redress Indie Plus show and received so many compliments on it. What drew me to the dress was the detailing. From reading my blog and seeing my outfit posts, you know I am a sucker for details. I was intrigued by the combination of the pleated waist with the lace trimming on the neckline and waist. The clothes on ASOS models are always too big for the models, so, sometimes it’s hard to decipher how something will fit. I wasn’t sure what size to get in the dress, so, I went one size up.

The 3rd item I purchased was these above the knee ruched suede boots from Piperlime. I received a $15 b’day coupon and thought, what better way to use the coupon than on shoes. I liked the ruched detailing on the boots and thought they were quite sexy.

I still have tons of items on countless wishlists, but, since Christmas is coming up, I will have to keep those items on my personal wishlist and work on getting items for friends and family before Christmas.

>OOTD: AT THE OFFICE IN LOFT

>

Hey curvy girls,
It’s been a long and exhausting week. However, I am so excited about next week because it will be Stylish Curve’s 1 year anniversary. I have so many ideas for this blog which I will sahare with you all at a later date.  For those of you who are still sketchy about Loft (formerly known as Ann Taylor Loft) I just wanted to share this dress I bought from their 40% off sale about a week ago. What drew me to the dress was the draping and the design at the top of the dress, plus, it had pockets (which I love). Yes, it may be a little simple for those of you who like more edgier looks, but, it was something about it that I just thought was so cute and casual. When I put it on, the jersey material was so soft and comfy. It felt more like lounge wear. I will say that I need to take the top part in because it is a little too big. I had to keep pulling it up. My bottom half is the largest part on me so, I try to fit that first and tailor the rest (future post on tailoring). Other than that it was perfect.

Last year, I bought this little bomber jacket from Loft and I thought it would be a nice youthful touch to the dress. To make the look more interesting, I added a pair of leopard print Michael Kors (2nd fave designer) pumps that I scored on Ebay for $30 and only worn once (so they say). I promise to put the necklace to rest and shop for other necklaces (this Logo necklace has saved me so much money) to add to my jewelry wardrobe. Now, I have an addiction to this Loft cuff bracelet. You will see this again.
Oh, and Loft is offering 40% off sale items in store and online as of today. In case you like the dress too they still have it and they have other colors.

Please note: The Loft dress and jacket were all purchased with my hard earned money. However, Loft did gift to me the cuff bracelet. I am a true fan of Loft and do not receive anything for promoting them on this blog.
