As women we all know that with a new body comes a new style. Ugly Betty star America Ferrera has adopted a new look to match her newly slimmer yet still curvy shape. SC loves America’s new style because of its versatility. Her choice of dresses are chic enough for work and sexy enough for evening. America is a big fan of Catherine Malandrino who is known for making feminine dresses that show off a woman’s shape. We love that America goes for classic dresses with special details like a pleated waist or draping around the hips. Every curvy girl can take a few notes from America’s style and SC has hooked you up with 6 super chic dresses to help you incorporate a little bit of America Ferrera’s style into your wardrobe.
1. Plus SIze Fix Brocade Dress $42.99, sizes 1X-3X
6. ASOS Curve Frill Sleeve Tunic Dress  $64.03, sizes16-22

In continuation with SC’s denim series I wanted to share with you this month’s magazine feature which comes from Essence.
I have four favorite stylist’s and Lloyd Boston is one of my faves. In the August issue of Essence he helps a few women with different body types find the right pair of jeans for their bodies. One of the women is plus size super model Mia Amber Davis. I know there are a few curvy girls who don’t like to be given advice on how to dress their curves, but, I don’t think there is anything wrong with taking heed to a few tips.
Lloyd helps model/actress Amber find jeans that fit her ample booty without showing her crack (Sorry! No other way to say this). He also helps model Sharail find a pair of jeans that fit her waist and offers tummy control.
Mia is wearing CJ by Cookie Johnson’s Faith Straight Leg jean and Sharail is wearing Not Your Daughters Marilyn Jean.
A few months back I did a post on CJ by Cookie Johnson jeans and at that time they only went up to a size 16/18. Now they have added a plus line.
Checkout more CJ looks. You can purchase CJ by Cookie Johnson at Bloomingdales
Not Your Daughter’s jeans has also stepped up their wash game and fit. The styles have been updated and are worth checking out. They can also be purchased at Bloomingdales

All jeans average about $150.
