CURVY GIRL NEWS:SIMPLY BE COMING TO THE US

Hey curvy girls,

The UK based plus size clothing site Simply Be is now coming to the US this July. If you are unfamiliar with Simply Be. They carry sizes 14-32. The online shopping site not only offers their signature brand, but, carries other brands that cater to the plus size woman. Their demographic is ages 35+, but, the clothes are modern and trendy enough for the 20 something crowd.

I personally can’t wait until July for them to get here. Simply Be has some really cute and trendy pieces. Based on other blogger reviews (whom they’ve sent clothes to personally) like Fatshionable say that they love their clothes. All I have to say is, what took them so long? Now, I just hope the same amount of stylish pieces that are available on the UK site are available on the US site.

According to Stylelist:

Simply Be promises to use only plus-size models for its catalog and Web site.

A British plus-size clothing company is in hot pursuit of the American market. Simply Be, which is devoted to women size 10 to 28 (U.S.), will launch here this summer, with a Web site debut in July and a catalog rollout in August.

The Simply Be customer is both confident in herself and in her size,” spokesperson Clotilde Gros tells StyleList. “[She] likes to dress up when she goes out with her friends and wants to look good.”

Here are a few pieces from their site.

>WHAT TO WEAR TO A COCKTAIL PARTY

>

Hey curvy girls,
The other day I was chatting with one of my closest friends about cocktail parties and what to wear to one. In my opinion, I think a dress is always the best way to go. Although, I’ve seen some really fierce pants suits that are cocktail worthy. I think a dress is more fun, flirty, and sophisticated depending on how you wear it. I decided to offer a great dress option from ASOS (which was featured in an older post) in case some of you were looking for a cocktail dress for an upcoming event or party.

I think of cocktail parties as a chic event to show off your curves in an elegant way. To punch up your look add a little bit of false lashes to draw attention to your eyes. This may sound corny, but, I’m all for cocktail rings whether it’s day or night. Also, put on a perfume that has a lingering scent, it’s a definite conversation starter when you smell good. Also, it helps people to remember you.

>FASHION TO FIGURE IS COMING TO BROOKLYN

>

Hey curvy girls,

Fashion To Figure is coming to Brooklyn this weekend. The store will be located in the Kings Plaza Mall. I for one am super excited about this because I won’t have to pay for shipping anymore. The one in the Bronx is a little too far to get to being that no trains are near the location. It’s always great for curvy girls to have new stores to shop in, because, shopping online is truly a hassle, especially when shipping is an arm and a leg.

For those of you who don’t live in or near Brooklyn or the Bronx and have to order online, you can get 15% off your online purchase by using SC’s exclusive coupon code FTF15CURVE

You can check out their clothes at Fashion To Figure
